What is Ecclesia?
An Evolutionary Spiritual Endeavor
The word Ecclesia means to be called out. We are calling each other out of our questioning and seeking to support our beingness. With tools and resources for our spiritual, emotional, physical and mental capacities, we practice turning from habitual reactions and expressions toward our inner wisdom. With conscious and compelling conviction, we choose anew. Weekly, we are reminded of our legacy, our expansive nature, our human responsibilities and our divine potential.
Why?
Ecclesia begins at the wisdom of a self-reflective life. Ecclesia also emerges from the eternal heart to celebrate resilience, creativity, power, light, balance and joy. All of which lead to a life of compassion and love.
Why now, why love?
This is an extraordinary time to be alive. Old structures of all kinds are crumbling, falling or changing drastically – business, education and religious systems are among those shifting. Now is the time to step out of our familiar way of being and trail blaze new paths. Ecclesia’s vision is of our spiritual wholeness. Together, we will build a community committed to a growing awareness of the infinite presence of love and embody that awareness as we live and serve the world.

What does Ecclesia have to offer?
Ecclesia is a meeting place to experience inspiration and encouragement for the spiritual journey. We peer beyond tradition forms of religious structure to access the essence of spiritual power. While being respectful of all paths we are trailblazing new ways to grow in community together. During our Sacred Gathering we experience body prayer (movement while praying), a prayerpoint (focusing our collective prayer on one challenge), wisdom sharing (an opportunity to hear the wisdom of everyone).

Spiritual Toolbox Ministry
Every Ecclesia member will be encouraged to cultivate and manage:
A spiritual practice-
the centerpiece of an evolving life of growth, each one is supported to pray, dance, sing, meditate, study, walk in nature; discovering which tools resonate for us personally, we cultivate all the ways one arrives at the doorway of the divine. We commit to spiritual practice. We are encouraged and supported to be consistent and to seek assistance when we confront our inner edge.
Service-
the outer reflection of our inner work, every member is encouraged to participate by being love in action, in community and the world.
Social Connection-
our relatedness is how we know who we are and whether we are living the life we intend. We spend time together (sharing meals, discussion, dance, prayer, etc) in order to grow more fully into who we are.
Defining Love -
Love is the cornerstone of Ecclesia. We gather from every race, culture, class, religion, spiritual perception, sexual preference, from every human delineation. We each define love from our center and continue to refine that definition, creating a living relationship to love. Our understanding becomes the platform from which we heal, serve and grow. Our understanding also becomes the key to transcending delineation; from the way of love, the many become the one.
Discovery Ministry
In a culture so deeply addicted, we boldly address our addictive nature. From an array of current recovery principles and tools, we create a system that allows us to fully feel our hunger and to understand what it means to be filled and complete. We support one another to discover who we are beyond our yearning.
Embracing You Ministry
The vision is to return sex to holiness and to understand intimacy. What does this mean in our culture of changing morality, and more importantly, how will our understanding impact how we relate? We will explore and encourage each other to understand intimacy and sex and it’s role in our quickly changing world.
Money and Abundance Ministry
We will hold each other accountable for changing mind, and behavior. We will take responsibility, even as we compassionately explore our relationship to this aspect of our lives.
Race and Culture Ministry
An ongoing dynamic in our culture, we will explore new ways of conceptualizing race and culture. As part of our service, we will partner with other projects and organizations to lead the way, modeling the oneness we envision.
Children and Teens Ministry
Teaching these trailblazing practices, Ecclesia seeks to give the next generation new tools for spiritual growth and to encourage them to continue development and expansion of this and other emerging system.
Selfsame Ministry
The gay and lesbian welcoming ministry will create activities and forums that address the spiritual concerns of our gay and lesbian members.
